- Question #2. There are other names for the “werewolf”, do you know what any of them are?
The main name you’ll often here used in conjuction with werewolf is the term “lycanthrope”. If you look lycanthrope up in the dictionary it says it means one who can transform from human to wolf and vice versa. People who believe they can shape shift are sometimes given the mental illness termed “lycanthropy”. You might also hear werewolves referred to as turnskins, or turncoats. In the movie Underworld, the race of werewolves are referred to as “Lycans”.
Another term people sometimes use when talking about werewolves is “shapeshifter”. Shapeshifter is a broad term, referring not just to a werewolf (or person that turns into a wolf), but can be used to refer to a person that turns into ANY kind of animal! Also, if you add the term “were” (which means man) before an animal name, it basically signifies a shapeshifter of that animal…for example, you can sometimes read of reference not only to the werewolf, but also to the weredog, wereleopard, werecat, werebear, etc. The term “skin-walker” is another term for a human which can shape-shift into an animal.

They are very much real. I’m mostly glad that people don’t go looking for lycanthropes today, or I’m positive alot of people would be royally screwed… Next to all of Lycanthropes are near undetectable, unless they’re careless and decide to use wolf-like tactics in every day activities. People would either look at the ‘careless’ with confusion, or name them weird… or for those who believe and hunt… Well, it would not be nice.
Most Lycans are loners now, and only very few packs are left. Many don’t travel in packs because they think it would be dangerous… But in all honesty, humans now-a-days are pretty stupid, and frankly, would only think of a large pack being a large gang if seen together in human form.

perhapse many of us are to frightened to step into the light. But i myself and many i am aqainted with embrace mortals with our secret in thrown into the open. Many mortals as mentioned above pay little or nor heed. While other become frightened thinking we are delusional. Werewolves exsist and many of the folktales are wrong about us not entirely but the majority of the bulk. such as the full moon. just because one such insident one of our kind’s transformation was triggered by such it has now become widely acknowledged as such bieng for all of us. My trigger is not anger nor moonlight nor bloodcraze nor a defence mechanism.i am in complete controll of it able to turn at anytime. many legends tell of how to supposedly terminate us, but are wrong. As they are for our true purpose. Their are many clans each with their own believed purpose on this planet. Protectors of nature, humans and even other weaker clans. Many for glory or for riches. But my clans isnt nothing of the sort. rather its a constant urge to balance and controll an element many religions call chi or kharma or spiritual energy. We are also very religious. many clans are so religious they believe themselves to be a form of an angel. well cherubs and such are animalistic in description so why not. many religions look to animals as a god like entity. so it is only natural that some of the many clans believe themselves to be gods amongst men seeking followers and riches. my clan dwells very little in the material realm such as riches. though many of us are pack rats we would gladly share our bounty with the less fortunate. i merely wrote this to tell you not to believe all that you hear. it is all hear say. things have a tendency to get lost in translation and to grow when echanged from one individual to another. Many even believe that by various rituals you can become a werewolf as many would call us. perhapse they can such has yet to be proven with hard evidence. however it is possible but is accepted about as nice as athiest turning satanic or a satanist worshiping allah. not a pretty sight. as for my clan we are christian in origin.
and call ourselves Dreadlocks. sure the name doesnt inspire mysticism or goodness as simply werewolf, but we are rather fond of it. we are a democracy based clan with two leaders who are the face of the clan the purebloods i and my brother reside as the clan leaders or chiefs as it is refered or even as the alpha. But without our clan we would be voulnerable as a single entity sure are skills in battle individually are impressive and our brute strength unmatched by anyother but no one is immortal. we have weaknesses as mortals have weakness. it only takes a split moment an instance for ones life to fade into nothingness. for all life is but a blink of an eye when compared to that of the cosmo’s. we opperate as a tight tactical unit each playing his or HER own role. WE ARE NOT ALL MEN. WE BREED AS ANYTHING ELSE BREEDS FOR WE ARE ALSO PART OF THE CIRCLE OF LIFE. Women are as valuable in the tatical role as we men are. Our females are said to posses specific traits that we men do not. Such has yet to be proven wrong. Evidence shows us that their instinct of detecting danger are a higher level than we men’s are. Many who are reading this may become enraged at my clans claims and may seek us out to settle this issue if need be. You can find my clan in the small city of Oklahoma. that is all i shall enlighten you on at this time perhapse later i will shed pardon my language it’s not a joke. later i may feel more enclined to share some more facts with you. but not now intill i decide to contact you again.

Deathlockdrum, you are a lying piece of crap. lol… people like you who say that they are one of those individuals that you CLAIM do know so much about, are never actually who they say they are- you and everyone else knows that you are lying, humans and “werewolves” alike. I’m only saying this to be direct with you and not for any other reason. Don’t ever speak of such things again, you have no idea what you are talking about.
-btw, I only use the term “werewolf” because it’s the widest known term for those peope you say you know so well- but obviously know nothing about. I myself hate that term.

Why must idiots like Dreadlockdrum be permitted to use daddy’s computer to get on the internet? It must be sad to have no other outlet for your self-delusional fantasies than to post drivelling nonsense on blogs.
Though the idea of the post (to convince others that you are something you are not, and to hype your own psyche up) was quaint, the delivery absolutely destroyed any slim chance of credibility you had. Fifth grade students have better mastery of the English language than you apparently possess. Punctuation, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, etc., are abysmal. Please, pay attention in school and do your homework.

…just one question why are mortals so closed minded and ignorant? the fake movie drama and untrue myths have poisened and corrupted the minds of society the fake stuff is only a coverup. i mean thousands of people have probbably read this and kept to themselfs but only the assholes type critisizing stupid shit leave the high school drama at the school m’kay. i for one actually find the subject quite facinating because… well i would tell you but people would be like well thats bullshit blah blah blah. ok ime done ranting lol

I definitely believe in werewolves. If you ask me why, the answer is easy: the light of the full moon transforms me - there are different types of werewolves, and some of us only transform at the full moon, others can shift whenever they want, and some even don’t know when it’ll happen. I know, I sound like an insane, delusional weird-o. xD And I’m only 12 years old, so of course you’d expect me to be lying. But werewolves don’t have to be just men; we’re women, we’re girls, we’re men, we’re boys. We start out as children and grow up into adults - just like humans. When werewolves breed, their children are born as the same beast. But it’s not a curse, it’s a gift. A gift to transform into something otherworldly. And while some werewolves are bad, just like some *people* are bad, many of us are good as well. The popular stereotype is that we’re evil, bloodthirsty, devil-worshippers. WRONG. There are other types of were-people: werecats, wereleopards, weredogs, pretty much any were-animal. (But werewolves are the best, because we have our own special word in the dictionary. xD) My point is that werewolves have different personalities just like humans do. The majority of us are *not* evil. Sure, as beasts we hunt, but most of us don’t have a hunger for human blood. Some of us match the stereotype, and those lycanthropes DO enjoy meals out of humans - which we are half of, so it’s almost like cannibalism - and they have dark, evil hearts. But most of us are just like normal animals when we turn into werewolves, and (almost) normal people when we’re in our birth form. Remember - humans are animals too.

I have some strange questions for all the werewolves out there why do people try to be something that their not? In some cases people get so dillusional to the point that they belive to be a vampire or werewolf, I mean why try to change? Why not unlock the potential of being a human beeing, the limits of our potential can reach outstanding srengths. So why not belive in in just being a normal human? If these so called werewolves and vampires are so much better, stronger, and smarter than us humans then how come they’re not the dominant species of this earth? If they are so much better what are they afraid of? Why stay in hideing for so long?
Why not stop being dellusional and belive in humanity?

I am a loner.I have been accepted by my family for what I am and I am very proud to say I am a werewolf.(I use the term werewolf ‘cuz its all I really know)On contrary to some beliefs, vampires and werewolves are perfectly capable of getting along. I have personal experience on this part, for my best friend is a vampire.(she prefers the term “bloodsucker” but I think it best to use formal terms.)I have not yet met any others where I live, we are probably the only two mythical creatures in our hometown in Washington(thus enabling her to come out during the day. Though she’s a bit of a night owl too….) yes I understand if you don’t believe me. It’s hard to believe myself sometimes. I do on the other hand enjoy very human things:volleyball, reading, playing outside, the computer….8)

I would like to point out, here in Australia, if werewolves truly came out at the sight of full-moon, then we’d be proper screwed - we get the moon near 17 hours, including in the day

Yes, when I was young I believed I was a werewolf also… but, at 18 I have come to accept I’m just schizophrenic. Sorry to all of you who “believe” they are wolves, but you might just be extrememly delusional. Thank you

Look, if you are so critical and think that lycanthropy is just a mental condition, or a delusion then go on, keep your head up your butt. Science can’t explain EVERYTHING. Lycanthropes are very real, as are vampires. Everyone is so closed minded about everything these days because of our precious government, and our precious science. Science isn’t always right. And Hollywood blows things up and out of proportion to attract viewers. Don’t believe everything you hear. But all legends are based on fact to an extent.
